This qualifies as providing an education?

Had to do some "paper work" for my kid's school. Came across this gem:
Although Health Education is a New Jersey graduation requirement, parents may request that their child be exempt from any portion of the Health education curriculum that "is in conflict with their conscience or sincerely held moral or religious beliefs" (RBOE Policy 2422). If this is your request, teachers will provide alternate learning experiences; no penalties regarding credit or graduation shall result.
This rule applies to the teaching of health classes in a public school. Seriously, this is simply sad. We actually spend tax dollars to pass laws to coddle ignorance?

The Blog Reloaded...

Finally got off my ass and got a blog off the ground.  This is a meaningless first post.  More to come.
